New York City’s Winter Storm Hercules

Thursday night storm Hercules blew in from Chicago to cover the streets of New York with up to 11 inches of snow in some places. Following the storm on the NY Times site and Twitter has produced some good information but most just some laughs at the name Hercules

Here at the Geekingitreal apartment I’m enjoying some coffee and reading while being pretty snowed in.

This is the front door of our building. When I saw that snow I said “uh no thanks outside world, this Texan can’t comprehend you right now”, and I went back upstairs to the warmth of my couch. As of now the snow is letting up but it’s still very windy (windchill -3 degrees Fahrenheit). Stay safe New Yorkers!
