Ylvis: The Norwegian Flight of the Conchords

If you haven’t seen or heard “The Fox (What Does The Fox Say)” you’ve been living in a fox hole for the past month. Yes I went there. Ylvis is a comedy due from Norway formed by brothers  Bård and Vegard Ylvisåker. They call themselves a variety duo; however, they are reminiscent of New Zealand’s novelty band duo Jemaine and Bret from Flight of the Conchords.

Ylvis has skyrocketed to international internet fame with their hilarious Youtube video for “The Fox” which currently has over 77 million views. However their lesser viewed songs like Stonehenge and Someone Like Me are also worth a watch. The brothers also have a talkshow in Norway titled “I  kveld med Ylvis”. Flight of the Conchords Bret and Jemaine had a faux reality show on HBO.

Remember this Flight of the Conchords gem?

Ylvis’s video “The Fox (What Does The Fox Say)”  is catchy and hilarious but so are some of the other Ylvis songs;

Also just in the amount of time it took for me to write this post “The Fox (What Does The Fox Say)” jumped from 77 million to 80 million views on Youtube. Crazy.
