Baylor Bold

Remember a while ago when I bashed Baylor for not teaching me loan skills? Well I take it all back. Let’s be real, you knew I would. I love Baylor with all of my little green and gold heart!

Throughout my undergraduate social work experience all my professors at Baylor kept saying how advanced my education was and how great the program was. I thought yeah yeah I’m sure everyone says that….guess what? They don’t say that. My Baylor professors were saying it because it was true.

Dr. Johnny Jones and I

I was fortunate enough to attend an exceptional school. And you know how I know this? Because I am now in graduate classes with other students who have bachelors in Social Work who are clueless when it comes to even the most basic of terms. Now I’ve tried to be understanding and objective, but the majority of my classmates didn’t even know what a process recording was and last class the teacher spent a good thirty minutes explaining the difference between a thought and a feeling. I was not amused.

I am not saying the school or schools my now classmates attended for their undergraduate degrees were bad, I am just saying that when Baylor say it’s worth the price tag. They are right. Besides where else do you not only learn loads of amazing stuff but also have a University that cares deeply about every part of you? That’s the experience Baylor offered me and I am so glad I can call it my home!

To end this post I will also let you know that one of my classmates thought FDR’s New Deal was when separation between church and state became law. Umm No. Luckily my professor corrected her.
